Established in 1997 by Bill and Bridget Hauser, a strawbale building was built to house their pottery gallery and studio in Dripping Springs, Texas. In this dry Texas Hill Country they also created a rainwater collection system. The Hauser’s daughter Sarah manages the gallery/showroom.
Bridget’s talent as a clay artist created the line of functional stoneware pottery known as Sunset Canyon. It has been the backbone of Mackerel Sky’s pottery offerings since the Hauser’s began. This microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe stoneware collection has nearly every functional shape one could want. While we do not carry all of their many glaze options, any can be ordered.
