Richard Jones esthetic is decidedly Japanese in origin. His forms are spare and elegant with minimal, thoughtful embellishments like a wrap of silver leaf or a squiggly red drip of glass like ink or paint on paper. Our first personal piece of Richard's was purchased at the Ann Arbor Art Fair, probably in the late 80's or early 90's. It is a vase, still identifiable as coming from Richard's design sense. His continued growth is informed by patience and solitude. We're along for the ride.
